First off I have to say that we dropped the ball on this one. TEAM VRC was not ready to divulge our project aircraft until we had a cockpit ready for video. The justification for doing so was for the sole purpose to secure our Dev status with ED. Since you have video proof of our efforts, be it not very flattering, I am confirming that we are working on the F-100D Super Sabre. We will release 3 mods based on this airframe: QF-100D which is depicted in the above video. F-100D Thunderbird variant - later releases will include AFM. F-100D Full combat ready with all systems, 6 DOF, and clickable cockpit. Our team is working diligently to get up to speed and heavily into reverse engineering code so we can bring our Cockpit to life. We are busting through every barrier that we hit and the team is producing some of the best work I have seen in a freeware effort. We have to discuss as a team what our next steps are to be, however I am sure that we will be forthcoming with screenshots and videos. Our goal is to provide the Community with the HUN so you can enjoy DCSW even more until your favorite mods are available. Stay tuned. Silver_Dragon Publicado 6 de Noviembre del 2013 Autor Reportar Share Publicado 6 de Noviembre del 2013 Team VRC: F-100D Update http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1 ... stcount=99 Just wanted to give a quick update, I started testing some methods to aid in building the cockpit, but nothing to really show as I was simply testing the functions in Max. As for the External Model: -I'm adjusting some Lighting, and Some Lighting Settings. --Strobes, (only controlled by AI Right now) Are gone, and replaced with Rotating Red Beacons. --Re-Positioned the Upper and Lower Red Beacons --Deleted the NAV Light from the Top of the Vertical Tail (There isnt one there IRL). --Afterburner is adjusted a lil, but not final. --Started building the 3D meshes for the Landing Lights Also, Right now, it's looking like I'll have little time to do massive 3d Construction/Changes, So if the Team wants to, they can start looking for someone to take over the Cockpit Building, As I Don't want to continue to delay work on systems and Stuff. ( I have some of the panels mostly done, and none of the TUB or Gauges. ) I can continue to re-vamp and work on the exterior, and hopefully have an AI w/ Damage Model Done this year (hopefully for the MIG-21), but Building A cockpit from scratch, Might take a Long time with available free time. Silver_Dragon Publicado 30 de Abril del 2014 Autor Reportar Share Publicado 30 de Abril del 2014 F-100D Update http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2 ... tcount=125 Regarding the F-100D: 3D Cockpit: Work on this has been pretty much minimal due to availible time for a while. Other than Limited time, I also wanted to study and experiment with several methods to aid in building the cockpit. Once Time allows I will begin using these methods in a trial basis in a separate 3D scene before moving them to the F-100D Cockpit Scene. Like I've stated before, Cockpits arent my thing, I'm used to building external meshes. So I'm having to learn and re-evaluate things as I do them. In December I had started re-building over the external shape, (side panels, floorboards etc), The Methods I'm studying will be used to re-build the canopy frame, canopy, and adding details to the cockpit once it's basic shape is completed. Once that's all done and Texturing is finished, I will resume work on the panels, switches, gauges, and their animations. Once the cockpit is in a basic functional state (All gauges/switches animated and imported to DCS), It will be passed onto the system coders to integrate systems. While Systems are being coded, I will continue to Building up the details in the cockpit and also resume external Mesh. External Mesh: Still havent 100% decided if I want to continue using the one we licensed or start dedicating the time to building up from scratch (which I had started to reference using XSections in Max). I've also been planning/working on Improved Afterburner Effects for Vietnam Era Afterburners, which I will move into testing sometime in the next 2 months. AI Only/MIG-21 Adversary Release?: I'd like to do it, If I can get time to finalize the external mesh and stuff, But it's not 100% my decision. External mesh needs some work and I need to modify the Pylon Permissions some more, as well as Gear/SFM for AI. If Anything I'll put whatever free time I have in the next few weeks on getting the External Module Ready for that just in case. __________________ Citar Mas noticias desde el frente Enlace al comentario Compartir en otros sitios web
