Our team is working hard this weekend. We hope you enjoy this photo.

Hey guys, really looking forward to it as a huge fan of FA-18, spent countless hours on the Jane's. Anyway, why don't you guys request for a subforum at DCS? I see some 3rd party dev have their section there for discussion and promotional stuff.

Gary, one of the requirements is to have a fully modeled cockpit in DCS: World. Since we are making the cockpit from scratch it's going to take a while unlike other third party developers that are using an existing cockpit model. Thank you for the support!

Again, we are very sorry about today's hassle, and confusion. Our website is still under construction, and should be finished in the upcoming weeks. Here's a work in progress photo of the F/A-18E Super Hornet in DCS: World. We are constantly working on to improve the model, and the textures. So, if you see anything that is out of whack or you think needs some improving, please state it. Stay tuned for some big announcements in the upcoming weeks.

Transcripción oficial de Coretex de su video de presentación

Coretex Designs Q & A transcript

5:57 – Introduction:

Hello and welcome to the Coretex Designs question and answer live stream event! My name is Chris, and today I’ll be speaking on behalf of Coretex Designs. First off I’d like to share a bit about myself, and Coretex Designs. Currently I am the owner of Coretex Designs, and I do development work. Development work can be anything from texturing to scripting. We currently have 13 members on the Coretex Design team, and this includes 5 developers, 5 translators (German, Russian, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish), and 3 testers.

My previous work includes

working on the L-39C and MiG-17F that the virtual aerobatic team the Virtual

Black Diamond Jet Team uses on Flaming Cliffs 2 and DCS World.

6:55 – Is the EA-18G Growler planned?

The Growler has been discussed, and right now it’s too early to decide whether or not to develop the EA-18G Growler. There isn’t enough information about it, and we have lots of other projects for work on before it. So, the Growler isn’t planned right now, but it may be implemented in the future.

7:37- Will you integrate all the modern weapons like JASSM, and SLAM-ER?

Yes! We will implement all the modern weapons. We have all the weapons models, but are not scripted. We are still in the early stages of the module development so we haven’t done any weapon scripting yes.

8:11- What development stage is DCS: F/A-18E in?

The development stage we are currently in still very early stages. For us the early stages are modeling, and still getting everything in-game. After everything is in-game we will start scripting, and our module will be using the Advanced Flight Model (AFM) that is provided by Eagle Dynamics. (ED is only providing the basic functions for us to base our AFM around. We have to create the AFM with little to no help, and develop the scripts by ourselves. )

9:00 – Will DCS: F/A-18E ship with a campaign?

We’ve discussed this a lot, and I can say we are very excited to develop a fully playable campaign that will be shipped with the module. There will be campaign missions, and training mission. The campaign and training missions will be on-par with the Eagle Dynamics missions.

9:45- Will there be a DCS: F/A-18F that will support 2 player in the same plane?

We’ve discussed the F a lot lately since the announcements of the UH-1H. The UH-1H will support multi-seats in multiplayer. We haven’t started any development around the F, but we have it planned for the future. It’s not too far away, but it’s a reasonable distant away. The growler if we do decided to make it then it won’t be couple for another couple years because we have a lot planned before it and the information is limited.

10:55 – Are carrier operations in DCS World the responsibility of ED or 3rd party developers?

We have no idea what ED is doing right now so we can’t speak on the behalf of them. If ED does plan to create carrier operations then we will go to them and ask if we can develop our F/A-18E around their module. If they don’t make it we are planning on developing on some type of carrier. Right now we have one developer dedicated to creating all the sea craft. His name is Silver_Dragon and he is developing some of carrier models. It’s very early to say if we are going to make it because ED has stated if they are going to make carrier operations or not.

12:30 - Will DCS: F/A-18E feature carrier operations?

Yes, it will feature carrier operations either with ED if they decide to create carrier operations if not then we will.

12:55- ACLS?

We’ve discussed this topic a lot. We aren’t sure if we are going implement it, but we might implement at a later date. We do plan to integrate it on the final release or an update afterwards because it’s not a high priority.

13:44- Will the data link system with other F/A-18E’s and other aircraft be modeled?

Yes! We are very excited to implement the data link system. We know it’s possible because it’s implemented with Black Shark and the A-10C module. It’s going to be very interesting and challenging to integrate but we are planning on doing it.

14:35 – Will the Pulse Doppler APG-73 radar be modeled or the AESA APG-79?

We are planning on the APG-17 because of the fact that there is more information about it. We want to make the module as accurate as possible and we don’t want to make up and information about any of the systems. We aren’t going to guess about the system we model. We want to make this module as accurate as possible but we might upgrade to the APG-79 in a future release.

15:55- What kind of fidelity can we expect of the DCS: F/A-18E?

You can expect the highest fidelity that we can develop with the information we are provided. You aren’t going to see the same fidelity as the A-10C, because ED was given lots more information about it. Our module will be using the Danced Flight Model so you can expect our module to act like an F/A-18E like in real life.

16:57- Release date for DCS: F/A-18E?

There is no release date. We don’t want to release a set date for our module. If we would put out a release date then we would feel rushed. We want to take our time and make everything as accurate as possible. It could be a year from now, a month from now, or a couple of years from now. When you do see the release date then the module will be in the last beta stages. There won’t be major flaws or bugs. When we release the module it will be clean and finished.

18:19- Two seat is possible by DCS engine?

Yes it is possible. As most of you might have read the UH-1H is coming to DCS: World so it is possible. If we make the F model then it will be implemented.

18:55- Examples of any precious work?

We’ve shown previous work on the forums. We’ve done the *corrected* F-5E, L-39C, and the MiG-17F in Flaming Cliffs 2. One of our modelers, Brandon has worked on an E-2C cockpit on FSX so he has experience. Martin our other modeler has experience in game development with modeling characters, weapons, and vehicles. *Corrected* With me personally I have a lot of experience with ED with the very first Lock On simulator back in 2004. I do most of the module development with scripting LUA, and C++. Brandon does modeling, texturing, and web graphics. He has made our logo, banners, and other web graphics. Martin does mainly modeling, and he’s currently working on a detailed pilot. Another member of Coretex Designs is known as Heater and he is doing most of our Web Design, and texturing. Silver_Dragon just joined us last week, and he is working on sea craft models. Our translators also have a lot of experience in English and their native language. We are a new group founded this year but as individuals we have a lot of experience. We formed Coretex Designs to be under one name.

el mismo....

Fucking Crack!!!

Sweet....you mentioned near completion, so I'd imagine the UFC screen will be clickable too?

Rudel,

The UFCD will be clickable. We just haven't added the helpers yet.

We are still alive, and well! We are very sorry for the lack of updates throughout the past months. We have been extremely hard at work.

In the last two months we have been the most progressive we have ever been. I'm very proud to say that we now have two extremely talented programmers on the Coretex Designs team. We've been pushing forward in programming flight dynamics, and cockpit functions.

With this being said we hope everyone sticks around, and be very patient. We are always working towards the release of the F/A-18E Super Hornet and working towards our first module release.

At this time we are working hard on the flight dynamics.

-External animations complete (3D and Code)

-FM parameters are complete (Lift, Drag, Forces, etc.) for wings, elevators, fuselage, and flaps. Ailerons are currently being worked on. After all these are complete all of these functions will combine to create the air brakes.

-Suspension is complete but needs some fine tuning before release.

After programming is complete the FCS flight tests will begin.

Also, the current cockpit stage of the F/A-18E is that we are scripting the cockpit, and texturing. All other parts of the cockpit are complete. (Modeling, Optimizing, and Animating)

Hello all,

we are sorry for the long radio silence and we are aware that you all are anxious to see some progress. I'm just checking in to tell you that we are in very crucial steps of development and we hope to show you something very exciting as soon as we are a bit further down the road.

We are very thankful for the strong community here and we are also very thankful for the support you guys have shown us.

Stay safe,

Martin

Coretex Designs

P.S.: does anyone know at which level or postcount my signature and my profile picture are shown? Since I have not received the 3rd Party Developer title yet.
